Architecture: Arcosanti

Arcosanti was/is an experimental architectural space started in 1970 by The Cosanti Foundation and the Italian American architect Paolo Soleri. It is a pioneering attempt at Arcology, an early example of considering ecology and sustainability in the practice of architecture. The idea was to create a self-sustaining community that worked together and left no negative permanent environmental damage behind. Arcosanti is located in Yavapai County, Arizona.
